It was my daughter Lois’ Birthday last week and I wanted to make her a special card that she knew instantly had been made just for her. I chose to use the Days To Remember stamp set on page 18 of the new catalogue. Along with the stunning Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper. I am so in love with colours and style of these papers.
The stamp set is incredibly clever as you stamp the month in sections, so that the days and dates align correctly. It is so incredibly easy but has an instant ” WOW!… how did you do that? effect when the recipient opens the envelope. The numbers in the month are set so that they are the exact width of one of our ink pads, so inking the correct digits is super easy. I did use our fabulous Stamparatus, just to make the stamping even easier for myself. If you haven’t seen this piece of kit, do take a look on page 144 of the new catalogue. It truly revolutionises your stamping experience.
How the card was constructed..
Here is a closer look at the card. I used Mint Macaron for the card base and Night of Navy for the first layer. A piece of the Hand Penned DSP was used for the second layer. I then mounted the reverse of this paper onto more Night of Navy for the band across the centre. The calendar and sentiment were stamped onto a piece of Basic White card, cut using the new Scalloped Contours die set. I absolutely love this new set of dies, they are going to be so well used. Finally, I stamped the card, inner liner and envelope with flowers from the Color & Contour stamp set, using Pale Papaya and Mint Macaron inks. This stamp set can be purchased in a bundle with the Scalloped Contours dies thus saving yourself 10% on the original price – £47.50 as opposed to £53.
I was so pleased with how this card turned out and Lois was absoluelty thrilled with it. I can see the Days To Remember stamp set being used again and again to celebrate special days and dates throughout the year. it is incredibly versatile. I love the font used for the months of the year and sentiments. It would be a great addition to anyone’s journaling or scrap booking kit too.Product List
