Don’t you just love making the shadow box, 12 x 12″ sampler pictures?. The weather has a definite autumnal feeling in the air and there are leaves gathering on our front drive….. so I pulled out some retired stamps plus all the wonderful new autumnal stamps, papers, punches and dies from the mini catalogue and set to designing an autumn sampler project for my craft room wall.
This is result and I have to say, I am really, really pleased with it. What do you think? I love the colours and all the new Stampin’ Up! products have just brought it to life.

How I put this all together
I used the new Gilded Autumn Suite, which includes the Speciality Designer paper, the cute little punches and the Beautiful Autumn stamp set, plus the Wreath Builder die and the Harvest Hellos stamp set along with the Apple Builder punch.
The falling leaves were made using the baby wipe technique where you add drops of reinker onto a baby wipe, allow them to merge and mingle then use it to ink your stamp. I used Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry and of course Pumpkin Pie! I couldn’t resist using the retired set, Sheltering Tree. I will never part with that set, ever. Do you have sets you absolutely adore and could never part with them?
“autumn” is created using the Hand Lettered Prose dies which are sadly retired, but it would just as fabulous using the Playful Alphabet dies, an equally gorgeous lettering die set. I cut them out from Early Espresso card stock and mounted them on one of the sheets from the Gilded Autumn Speciality designer Papers.
What Colour Combination did I use?
The picture is based on five main colours
Cajun Craze
Crushed Curry
Early espresso
Pumpkin Pie
Soft Suede
