Butterfly Bouquet Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the official start of Spring. I am thrilled to share with you a brand new bundle from Stampin’ Up! available from today! It is the glorious Butterfly Bundle and to to give it the welcome it deserves I am taking part in this Blog Hop that showcases the amazing versatility of this bundle.

The bundle consists of Butterfly Brilliance Cling Stamp set (155092), Brilliant Wings Dies (155523) the most beautiful Designer Series Papers Butterfly Bijou(156824) The papers feature a wide selection of colours from our Stampin’ Up! colour range. I have featured just three in my cards today; Bermuda Bay, Magenta Madness and Calypso Coral. I have created very simple, versatile cards that you can easily recreate at home, that can be stepped up by more experienced crafters should they wish to do so.

My cards are made using a standard card base with an embossed white first mat or layer. I used the Painted Texture embossing folder and the Old World one too. You could use whichever folders you have to hand. It simply provides some textural space to compliment the butterflies fluttering past.

Next step:

I punched a 2-1/4″ circle of the Designer Series Paper from the Butterfly Bijou Designer Series papers to coordinate with the colour butterflies I was using. These were then mounted onto the embossed card stock. I die cut a variety of different sizes of butterflies in a range of coloured Card stock. I mounted these using tiny bit of Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals, just along the body area, leaving the wings free to float.

As you can see from the picture above I also cut some butterflies from Foil Card too, just to add a little bling. The set is so incredibly versatile, you can freely mix up the colours and sizes of butterflies to get the effect you like. The set does not come with any sentiments, allowing you complete free range to add whatever you want. I used two new stamp sets for mine; Enjoy The Moment and Vine Design. I used the new punch Oval Occasions to punch out some and the Flowering Vine Dies to cut out the other sentiments.

The stepped up version of this card was made by simply embossing the sentiment in silver emboss powder to compliment the silver foil butterfly.

I continued the theme inside the card by adding a strip of the same Designer Series Paper which picked up the colours I had used on the front of the card.

I really hope that you like this Bundle as much as I do. I feels so right on a sunny Spring day like the one we are having today. below is a list of everything I used to make my cards.
